Hey, my name is Courtney Bownes. I have been in the mortgage industry for two years so far at it has been an amazing experience. My favorite part of working with homebuyers is that I get to be a part of seeing them get the keys to their first home. It is a privilege to be the person that they can go to with questions or concerns as well as being able to guide them through the process.
When it comes to my clients, I will do it all. If a client raises something that I don't know the answer to, I will search high and low for an answer. I work hard to be not just an advisor but a friend to my clients and I work to keep a relationship with them by inviting all of my clients to my BBQs. In addition to my work as an loan officer, I also am currently an eXp agent as well which I love because I really enjoy house hunting and finding ways to WIN my clients offers. My work as an eXp agent helps me to really get in-depth knowledge about both sides of the homebuying process.
I'm grateful for how I got my start in the mortgage industry as I did start as a real estate agent. It was working as an agent that taught me the back bone of every offer are the relationships agents have with the loan officers. Through this realization, I determined that I want to make an impact on building amazing relationships with agents and my clients so that we may meet as strangers but we leave as friends.
A little look into my personal life, I'm someone with many passions. My weekends generally consist of hanging out with my family, camping, and showing homes. I also am a big fan of Doctor Who, the Green Bay Packers (my husband is a hardcore Browns fan though for all my Cleveland people), painting, and weather. Also, I am always looking for the best small town restaurants. So, if you know of any that I should try - send me the info!
My happy home is filled with my family of four. With my Browns loving husband, I have 2 kids that are 6 yrs old and 2 years old. Being a mother to my kids is such a joy and I couldn't ask for a better person to raise them with. However, we do have another family member I forgot to mention. Our family enjoys the companionship of a four legged friend. We have a dog named Hank and he is a Doberman/German Shepherd mix.

I’ve been in the mortgage industry for over 25 years, but my path here was anything but traditional. I started my career as a professional wrestler in Dallas before moving into radio as a nationally syndicated talk show host covering sports and pop culture. It was during my time hosting a mortgage radio segment that I was offered an opportunity to enter the mortgage business—and I took the leap.
Today, I serve as both a Loan Officer and Loan Counselor, with a passion for helping people navigate one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives. Whether you’re buying your first home, refinancing to lower your monthly payment, or looking to tap into your home equity, my goal is simple: make the mortgage process as smooth, honest, and rewarding as possible.

A Little About Me
I’m based in Lewisville, Texas, and when I’m not helping clients, you’ll probably find me doing something that keeps life interesting. I take my custom Star Wars-themed Dodge Chargers to local car shows and use them to support charitable causes. I also volunteer as a mobile DJ, a graphic artist, follow just about every sport imaginable, and consider myself a BBQ enthusiast who is still very much in training!
And yes, I’m a serious Star Wars collector.
Most importantly, I’m a family man. My wife and I have three amazing kids. One is a Doctor, another is a Percussion Director, and the third is a volleyball coach! We also share our home with four lovable rescue pups: Kona, Kahlua, Athena, and Zeus
